Product Introduction
The hollow paddle dryer is a low-speed stirring dryer with conduction heating. A jacket is set on the dryer body, a hollow blade is set on the hollow shaft, a heat carrier is introduced into it, and the wet material is fully exchanged with the hot surface of the paddle under the stirring of the stirring blade, so as to achieve the purpose of drying.
This machine is suitable for processing all kinds of paste, granular powder and other materials with good thermal stability. Under special conditions, it can also dry heat-sensitive materials and recover solvents during the drying process. The heating medium can be steam, hot water, hot oil, etc. Typical dry materials are: carbon black, calcium carbonate, gypsum, clay, nylon and polyester chips, polyhexene, polypropylene, etc.
According to the characteristics of sludge treatment at present, Jiutian Machinery has carried out a series of technical breakthroughs and practices, and carefully developed a horizontal stirring continuous drying equipment with steam as heat transfer medium and heat conduction as the main part. Because the agitating blade is shaped like a paddle, it is called a paddle dryer. The product can indirectly heat or cool the paste, granular, powder, and slurry materials, and can complete unit operations such as drying, cooling, heating, sterilization, reaction, and low-temperature combustion. The special wedge-type stirring heat transfer blades in the equipment have high heat transfer efficiency and self-cleaning function of the heat transfer surface.
Sludge Drying Plant Working Principle
The paddle dryer is compact in structure and mainly consists of a sandwich casing, a central shaft with staggered blades, inlet and outlet joints, drive mechanisms, control boxes, and other components.
The cylinder is a jacket structure in which hot steam circulates inside. During operation, water vapor is introduced into the jacket, hollow shaft, and blade to provide the heat required for drying; a very small amount of air is introduced into the dryer and used as a carrier for the steam (or organic steam) that evaporates during drying; the material enters the machine from the feed port, and is conveyed by the hollow blade to the discharge port for discharging. The material is heated and evaporated by the hollow blade and the jacket during the conveying process to be dried. The heat transfer surface of the wedge blade has a self-cleaning function. The relative motion between the particles and the wedge surface produces a washing effect that washes away the adhering material on the surface of the blade, which allows the material to have a long residence time and a high fill factor.
Sludge Dryer Characteristics
1. High thermal efficiency and low energy consumption: due to indirect heating, there is not a large amount of air carrying heat, and the outside of the dryer is provided with an insulating layer. For the slurry material, the amount of steam required to evaporate per unit mass of water is small;
2. Low equipment input cost: there is a huge heat transfer surface in the effective volume of the unit, which shortens the processing time and reduces the size of the equipment. Small space requirements for the site;
3. A wide range of applicable materials: applicable to different heat media, can handle both heat-sensitive materials and materials requiring high-temperature treatment. Commonly used media are water vapor, heat transfer oil, hot water, cooling water, and the like. It can be operated continuously or intermittently and can be applied in many fields;
4. The environmental pollution is small: the amount of air used is small, and the amount of dust material is less. Closed-loop can be used for contaminated materials or for solvent recovery;
5. Low operating cost: fully enclosed independent operation structure. The amount of wear is small and the maintenance cost is low;
6. Stable operation: Due to the special compression expansion and agitation of the wedge-shaped blades, the material particles are fully in contact with the heat transfer surface. In the axial interval, the temperature, humidity, and mixing gradient of the material are small, thus ensuring the process's stability.
