Sludge, a byproduct of municipal sewage processing, presents several challenges due to its high moisture content, viscosity, water holding capacity, and low calorific value. These factors complicate its industrial utilization. <sup>The Jiutian sludge drum dryer boasts a sophisticated composition, featuring a heat source, dispersing feeder, belt feeder, rotary drum, belt discharger, induced draft fan, dust collector, deodorization device, and power distribution cabinet. Here's how it operates: Initially, the wet sludge, with about 80% moisture content and a certain viscosity, enters the tumble dryer. It is then divided into six distinct drying working zones:
1. **Material Guide Area:** Upon entering, the wet sludge meets high-temperature hot air, rapidly evaporating moisture. If the material does not bond under the large lead angle copying plate, it moves to the next zone.
2. **Crushing, Beating, and Cleaning Area:** Equipped with specialized crushing, beating, and cleaning devices, this zone ensures the wet sludge is lifted, crushed, and formed into a material curtain to enhance the heat exchange area and drying rate. The cleaning device maintains the inner wall, preventing sludge adherence.
3. **Main Drying Area:** The semi-processed sludge is in a granular, loose state. The inclined lifting plate uniformly lifts the material for full heat exchange with hot air, enabling robust moisture removal.
4. **Beating, Crushing, and Drying Area:** Here, the sludge undergoes repeated beating and breaking, reducing particle size from 20-40mm to 10-20mm (as per customer requirements), facilitating further moisture reduction.
5. **Enhanced Drying Area:** Small particle sludge, lifted by a dense copying plate, maximizes hot air absorption, meeting the required moisture standards and preparing for discharge.
6. **Discharge Area:** To prevent dust discharge, this zone lacks a copying plate. The dried sludge, with moisture content reduced to 20-25%, rolls to the discharge port, completing the drying process.</sup>
